15.07.2020 - European Defence Cooperation in the Post-COVID-19 World
15 July 2020 (Wednesday)
16:00-17:00 (CEST)
The aim of this webinar is to discuss EU’s defence ambitions in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the upcoming negotiations on the EU budget. What is more, to foster a dialogue on the meaningful third-party access in the European Integration framework.
We aim at this discussion to be timely, given the Extraordinary European Council meeting on 17-18 July 2020 that will discuss the new long-term EU budget.
Via this webinar we would like to address the following issues:
- What is the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on European defence cooperation?
- EU defence ambitions in the next EU budget for 2021-27 - what to expect?
- What contours for third-party cooperation? in which areas, projects, policies will the EU benefit the most in working with third parties?
This online event forms part of the project titled “Enhanced European Opportunity Partners in the EU’s Defence and Security Initiatives: Study case of Norway”, which is funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Defence.
This is a closed-door session, in case you are interested in joining please send an email to [email protected].
