GLOBSEC Trends 2019: Key Highlights

For a fourth year, GLOBSEC Trends 2019: Central and Eastern Europe 30 years after the fall of the Iron Curtain brings a unique insight into the Central and Eastern European people’s minds, covering seven Central and Eastern European countries Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. 30 years after the fall of communist regime, 70 years of NATO and 15 years since joining the EU, the geopolitical orientation and the meaning of the membership in the EU and NATO appears to be still contested in the young Central European democracies against the projection of Russia’s influence and the spread of conspiracy theories.
