Aliaksei Kazharski

Dr. Aliaksei Kazharski received his PhD in European studies from Comenius University in 2015. He has worked as a researcher and lecturer at Charles University in Prague and Comenius University in Bratislava. He has been a visiting researcher at the Universities of Oslo (Norway), Tartu (Estonia), Vienna (Austria), and Malmö (Sweden), the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna (IWM) and the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Since 2019 he has also been a fellow at Visegrád Insight.
Kazharski’s research interests have included Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, regionalism, identity in international relations, critical approaches to security and terrorism studies. He is the author of two monographs: Eurasian Integration and the Russian World. Regionalism as an Identitary Enterprise (CEUPress 2019) and Central Europe Thirty Years after the Fall of Communism. A Return to the Margin? (Rowman&Littlefield 2022).
