The Danube Tech Valley Initiative (DTVI) by GLOBSEC is aiming to power ahead and accelerate the innovation potential in CEE, by increasing its competitiveness and growth vis-à-vis the rest of Europe and the world, by creating synergies and convergence, interconnecting existing initiatives, and enabling bottom-up cross-border interactions and cooperation between diverse stakeholders in the Danube region. Its newly launched Danube Innovation Tracker aims to accelerate the innovation potential of the region.

The Danube Tech Valley covers the 14 countries located in the Danube Region as defined by the macro-regional strategy adopted by the European Council in 2010. The Danube Region thus includes nine EU Member States, three Accession Countries and two Neighbouring Countries.

The Danube Tech Summit, the new annual catalyzing event for the strategic Danube Region innovation  sphere, starting in December 2023, will enhance knowledge circulation and network building between  businesses, policymakers, education institutes and civil society organizations.
